How to Enroll

Follow these steps to apply Xiamen University

Submit an application through the official website (application.xmu.edu.cn) and pay the application fee. Upload scanned copies of all documents, complete the application form, personal statement, and references.

Selection and document verification

The university checks your academic achievements, language skills, completeness of documents and other qualities (recommendations, motivation, etc.) In some cases, you may be asked for additional materials or confirmation.

Receiving a decision on admission

If you are selected, you will receive an acceptance letter. Decisions are published online around June or July.

Application for a scholarship (if desired and possible)

Once you are accepted, you can apply for the Xiamen University Scholarship for New International Students by filling out the form and uploading it to the system. The University will only consider scholarship applications after admission has been approved.

Registration and admission

After receiving your acceptance letter, complete all formal steps, including paying your tuition/deposit, registering with your original documents, and passing your medical examination.
