Student accommodation

International House rents are published per six-month semester, common charge already included. New rates took effect on 16 March 2026 and are the ones charged now.
Nishimachi Main: ¥156,000 a semester for a 15.66 m2 single — about ¥26,000 a month (computed). Water, electricity and in-room internet are included up to an allowance; gas is billed separately.
Nishimachi A and B: ¥192,000 a semester in a four-person share, about ¥32,000 a month (computed).
Sakamoto residence: ¥135,000 a semester, about ¥22,500 a month (computed), and gas is included here as well as water, electricity and internet.
Researcher rooms are the only ones taking couples and families, and their web table omits the common charge: the real monthly totals are ¥39,600 single, ¥45,600 couple and ¥65,100 family.
Hortensia: ¥27,000 rent plus a ¥5,000 common charge, so ¥32,000 a month, with water and gas contracted per four-person unit on top. Open to all faculties and to international students since 1 April 2026.
Nagasaki publishes no figures at all for Uni E'terna Bunkyo Global House or its two Dormy partner halls, and no deposit or key money for any residence.

Campuses and infrastructure

All Nagasaki University campuses. Where a programme is taught at a specific campus, its own page says so.

Student support

Every university-run scholarship is restricted: Dejima to Asian nationals, Global Human Resource Development to named graduate schools, Yeh Kuo Shii to three faculties with a Japanese-language application.
The tropical medicine school publishes no inbound scholarship in Japanese, and its two English ones are Africa-only — one of which states its own award period as 2010 to 2017.
The Health Center states its staff have limited English and refers international students to the external TELL and Yorisoi helplines; no English-language counselling is provided in house.
No career support for international students is published — the Career Center site has no English version and refers job-hunting out to a prefectural body.
There is no current handbook for enrolled international students; the newest English guidebook is 2024, against 2025 in Japanese.
The visa page still names the Immigration Bureau, abolished in April 2019, so treat its stated fees as out of date and confirm with the office.
