Year 1

Students join their supervisor's laboratory immediately and begin the compulsory research-work sequence while taking lecture courses from their own and neighbouring research areas.

Year 1

The research-work and seminar sequences continue (Special Masters Research Work II; Special Masters Seminar II) alongside further lecture courses, building towards the 24 credits that must come from courses offered exclusively for GPES students. Year 2 masters students give interim research presentations within the programme.

Year 2

The final year is dominated by thesis research. Students complete Special Masters Research Work III and IV, must have completed the standard two years and all programme requirements, then file the Title of Thesis form, submit the thesis and abstract (three copies each) to the PEAK/GPEAK Section, and pass the screening of the thesis and the final examination.
