The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a leading public research university in the UK. UEA's leading area of study is environmental science. The university was the first in the country to open a faculty of environmental science in 1967. The university's campus currently houses the Climatic Research Unit, the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the Anglian Centre for Water Studies. They are considered the world's leading research centres for global climate and water conservation.
