Universitet haqida
Yonsei University aims to cultivate students with the ability to be creative, empathetic, and motivated. In order to fulfill this educational goal, the University has introduced educational experiments with three main goals: to cultivate the creative potential of students with a global reputation, to promote “learning by doing” through experiential learning, and to implement digital learning by establishing Smart Campus (S-Campus). For these purposes, Yonsei University has developed various interdisciplinary majors to ensure the training of future creative talents. All students from different majors live and communicate with each other, which naturally leads to the convergence of knowledge between disciplines and the development of the ability to empathize with others. In addition, S-Campus has built an integrated digital infrastructure to support various student-led educational practices.

Selecting a program
The first step in this process is choosing a program. You will need to choose the most suitable field of study and specialization that will match your professional activity. The university offers a very wide range of subjects and courses, so take your time and choose wisely. You have the opportunity to change the course later if you so desire, but this will be a lot of extra paperwork and a waste of time. Try to match your choice with your interests and projects you may have done in the past - this will clarify some things for you.
Preparation of documents
The second step after choosing your degree and subject is to prepare your documents. This is a very important step as your application will be assessed on the basis of these documents and you need to make sure that you have provided the most authentic documents. Common requirements include your previous degrees and results, CV, any certificates and extracurricular activities, identification documents and finally any language test results you have. Sometimes these documents need to be certified and signed by the education committee of your home country.
Filling out and submitting the application
Another important step if you want to secure a place at Yonsei University is filling out the application. Once you have completed your documents, you should scan them when you fill out the application. Make sure you fill everything out in the correct order and also exactly as stated in the documents. The information in the documents should match the information in the application. One piece of advice we can give is to review the application form before you submit it. And once you have double-checked everything, submit your application before the deadline.
Payment of fees
After submitting your application, you will need to pay an application fee. This is around $150 and you will need to transfer it to the university account.
Receiving an invitation
The application will most likely be processed within a few weeks to a month. The admissions committee will contact you if they have any questions or need additional information, so keep checking your email. Hopefully, they will consider everything in order and send you an invitation.
Obtaining a visa
The visa application process for students from Kazakhstan planning to study in Korea involves several main steps. First of all, applicants need a passport valid for at least 6 months. They must fill out a visa application form, attach a current color photograph (3.5 x 4.5 cm), and provide a copy of the personal information page of the passport. To obtain a long-term visa for more than 90 days, applicants must undergo a tuberculosis test (fluorography/PCR test) at an approved clinic within the last 3 months. A certificate of enrollment from the chosen educational institution in original or a copy is required. An academic transcript, such as an original document from the last educational institution with an English translation, must be provided. In addition, a bank statement with a live seal issued within the last 2 weeks confirming financial capacity is required. The required amount varies depending on the type of program and place of residence. Students who are pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Seoul, Incheon or Gyeonggi need to present $20,000. For students from other cities, the amount is $18,000. The visa application processing period is about 14 working days, excluding weekends and holidays, the consular fee is $90, paid in cash.
