University overview
Chiba University is a large national university of about 14,000 degree students across five campuses — four in Chiba Prefecture and one in Sumida, Tokyo. Its English-taught master's study runs through the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, in design and in medical engineering, and through the International Course of Environmental Horticulture at Matsudo, alongside research-student routes. Applicants should note that Chiba closed both of its international dormitories in September 2025 and now has no hall serving the main Nishi-Chiba campus.
