University overview
Kyutech is a national institute of technology on three campuses in Fukuoka: Tobata, its founding campus and headquarters; Iizuka, for computer science and systems engineering; and Wakamatsu, a graduate-only site inside Kitakyushu Science and Research Park. Four courses are taught in English — space engineering at Tobata, and assistive robotics, green energy and advanced medical technologies at Wakamatsu. Of its 5,955 students, 363 are international, from 49 countries. Note that Kyutech runs no student housing at Wakamatsu.

Three core campuses
Tobata Campus
The founding campus and headquarters, 26 hectares and about 3,000 students. Home of the School and Graduate School of Engineering, the main library, and the Space Engineering International Course.
Iizuka Campus
A 30.6-hectare campus about 40 km from Kitakyushu holding the School and Graduate School of Computer Science and Systems Engineering. The only campus with its own school bus.
Wakamatsu Campus
Graduate-only, inside Kitakyushu Science and Research Park alongside two other universities. The Graduate School of Life Science and Systems Engineering is its sole academic unit, and teaches three of Kyutech's four English courses.
More facts
¥535,800
a year in tuition with a ¥282,000 admission fee — the standard national rate, and no English-taught programme pays more
Every published fee is marked provisional, and Kyutech states that a revision would apply to students already enrolled from the date it takes effect, not only to new entrants.
An international master's entrant pays about ¥65,940 in compulsory extras at enrolment against ¥39,750 for a Japanese entrant, because the comprehensive insurance rider is required.
