University overview

Nagoya University was founded in 1939 as the last of Japan's seven imperial universities, on a medical school dating back to 1871. It teaches nine undergraduate schools across three campuses in Nagoya, and since 2020 has formed the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System with Gifu University. Its English-taught teaching runs through the Global 30 International Programs — six undergraduate and ten master's programmes admitting in October — alongside the Graduate School of International Development, the Law School's LL.M. in Comparative Law, and a Master of Public Health. Tuition is the same for international students as for everyone else.

Daiko Campus The health sciences campus — nursing, radiological and medical laboratory sciences, and physical and occupational therapy. It teaches none of the English-taught programmes listed here.
