Student accommodation

1,345 rooms across eight residence halls, about 963 of them open to international students. Osaka publishes no combined total; these are sums of its own per-hall figures.
¥17,500 a month at Toneyama and ¥18,500 at Seimei, both 10 m² singles serving Toyonaka. Mixed Japanese and international halls, and both are MEN ONLY.
¥25,700 a month at Suita International (76 rooms, men only) and ¥24,700 at Tsukumodai International (119 rooms, open to all). Both include electricity, gas, water and internet.
¥20,200 a month at Niina, serving Minoh — WOMEN ONLY, and just 12 of its 40 rooms go to international students. Room utilities are contracted separately.
¥19,700 a month for a single at International House Toyonaka C Wing, ¥20,200 for a couple and ¥23,700 for a family room.
Global Village Tsukumodai is the premium option — from ¥58,130 a month in a shared unit, or ¥64,270 for a studio, furnished and with its own move-in fee.
Global Village Minoh Semba (¥46,490 a month) is NOT open to the general international student body — its 200 international places go only to Center for Japanese Language and Culture programme students.
Osaka publishes no current figure for private rent near its campuses. Its own guide puts total living costs at ¥100,000-120,000 a month.
Every rent below is the REAL monthly total. The figure Osaka prints as "Monthly Rate" is the lodging fee alone, and each hall adds a monthly common charge on top — up to ¥13,000 more.
Housing information
University halls take applications year-round, with priority in March-April and September-October for stays of three months or more. Global Village Tsukumodai runs a separate autumn window and is first-come, first-served.
